Dr Madeline Fernbach, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, 17 November 2008
It was a pleasure working with such professionals who delivered a great project on
time to a very high standard. You displayed flexibility and innovation when logistical
challenges arose. Thank you.
Jon Green, NT Department of Natural Resources Environment and the Arts, May 2008
I have been very pleased with the professionalism of River Consulting; they delivered a complicated project within a very tight time frame. They made excellent judgments about their capacity, communicated well, resolved problems and provided a well considered report. I am confident in recommending their services.

We have been contracting River Consulting on projects for some 18 months and over that time I have found the company to operate with the upmost professionalism. River Consulting provides very sound scientific methodology, is extremely good at maintaining communications and progress reporting, and at all times has worked well with and gained long lasting respect with people in our community. River Consulting gets the job done professionally with no maladroit delays".

Executive Officer, Girringun Aboriginal Corporation.
Romy has worked with our organisation on 2 projects over a period of about 3 years, during this time she has been directly involved with our traditional owners and staff of the Girringun Aboriginal Corporation. At all times she has acted with the utmost respect for the traditional owners and understands completely the protocols and procedures required to effectively work with our people. I have no hesitation in saying that her personality and friendly approachable attitude will always enable her to work comfortably with any traditional owner group…
I have had the pleasure to work closely with Romy. The quality of her work in regards to report writing, achieving milestones, progress reports and follow up requirements is of the highest standards. Romy is a very confident and extremely competent person.
As organisation that represents the many interests of 9 traditional owner groups stretching over a very large area of country along the north east coast of Queensland, it is in the absolute best interest of our people that we engage researchers who have proven time and time again that they to have our interests at heart as well. These researchers must act with integrity, honesty, respect and the understanding of the struggle that we as indigenous Australians face every day. They must demonstrate to us as traditional owners that they possess the desire to influence change for the better. Romy Greiner is this sort of researcher.

Landcare Co-ordinator, BDTNRM
It was a pleasure working with River Consulting — willingness to embrace a collaborative approach, honest dealings with BDTNRM and time given (gratis) to research and develop the original proposal —to name a few.

Romy’s scientific achievements speak for themselves. She is an innovative resource economist with extensive experience in the human and economic side of natural resource management in Australia. She is held in high regard by her professional colleagues both in Australia and overseas.
Romy’s greatest strengths are her passion and dedication to her profession and to rural Australia. She understands that natural resource management at its core is a human activity and part of a wider community/social process. Working in the northern savannas she has proven to be sensitive to and respectful of the aspirations of Indigenous Australians.
